The American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) have teamed up in the fight against cancer.

Each year, youth and high school teams across the country have done their part to raise funds and awareness for these efforts. Once again this season, we invite schools and leagues to unite with basketball coaches across the country to raise funds to beat cancer.

As a coach and leader in your community, we’re asking you to use your influence to promote cancer awareness and raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Don’t sit on the bench. Join in to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

GET STARTED

1. Contact your American Cancer Society liaison: Lacey O’Rourke. 
2. Host a Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser during a game (or games) at your school!

• • TIP #1 Check out our Coaches vs. Cancer Partnerships Flyer  for guidance as you get started.
  • TIP #2 Utilize the ACS Coaches vs. Cancer Playbook for great ideas.
  • TIP #3 Identify a volunteer “Captain” to organize and execute the fundraiser (your captain could be a parent, assistant coach, teacher, etc.)
    • Once you’ve designated a team captain, head to the Coaches vs. Cancer Partnerships website to sign up your team.
      • Captains will register their team by clicking the ‘Sign Up’ button.
      • Supporters can view their team under the ‘Top Teams’ tab on the home page.

3. Reach an incentive level and earn your reward!

• • RAISE $2,000 = 2 tickets to the Gala + print recognition in event program

    RAISE $5,000 = 4 tickets to the Gala, print recognition in event program, and an on stage verbal recognition

    RAISE $10,000 = 8 tickets to the Gala, print recognition in event program, and an on stage verbal recognition
